I use Adobe Captivate to create screencasts which allows me to incorporate:
- Animated sequences of user actions
- PowerPoint slides with supporting information
- Voice-over narration
- Background audio (theme music)
The resulting video is Flash format which plays with a stand-alone player on any computer or through a browser.
If you need your screencast to play on Apple mobile devices, I can convert your video to an Apple supported format.
Screencasts Showcase Your Product
Software demonstrations (also called screencasts) capture application screens and user actions as a small movie that illustrate how easy it is to use your software.
Your organization can use software demos for:
- Marketing through on-site visits, in mailers, website downloads, and trade shows
- Customer product education at implementation meetings, including JAD sessions
- End-user support functions, including help desk and third-party user support
- End-user training (instructor led or self paced)
Because demos illustrate user actions, they reduce language barriers without translation costs and overcome literacy challenges in the end-user audience.
Screencast Contents
A typical screencast runs between 3 and 10 minutes. I work with you to highlight your product features and provide supporting product information. You can also add your marketing message within the screencast.
